
Jake Wengroff is a social media and social business expert.
The former (and first) global director of social media strategy and research for consulting firm Frost & Sullivan, Jake has deep experience in vendor evaluation, change management, and media and content strategy.
He regularly speaks with the most influential vendors and leaders in the social media space, and brings this guidance and insight to clients of JXB1.
Before his role leading social media for Frost & Sullivan, Jake served as Global Director of Corporate Communications, overseeing branding, media relations, webinar programs, communications training, and internal communications for the entire firm.
He is a regular contributor to InformationWeek, CMO.com, Social Media Today, and other publications, and has served as chairman of GSMI’s Social Media Strategies Summit.
Earlier in his career, Jake managed communications and marketing programs for such clients as Paribas, DLJdirect, Chase Manhattan Bank, Bear Stearns, Pitney Bowes, PricewaterhouseCoopers, ABI Research, the American Marketing Association, and Moody’s KMV.
He is also a former journalist, having worked as a reporter for CFO magazine/The Economist. Jake also authored a personal finance/investing book, E-Bonds (Wiley, 2002).
A guest lecturer in the department of communication at the University of Texas at San Antonio, Jake holds a B.A. from Brandeis University and an M.B.A. and M.S. from University of Miami.
